WomenServe Update: Standing With Our Communities Near the Border

A Letter from Our Founder, Nioma Narissa Sadler

To our WomenServe community,

In light of the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, we want to take a moment to connect directly with you. Our highest priority remains the safety and well-being of the women and communities we serve in rural Rajasthan.

WomenServe’s programs operate in the rural regions surrounding Jodhpur, Phalodi, and western Rajasthan - closer to the border than many realize. We are staying in close contact with our local partners and monitoring developments hour by hour.

Our mission to empower women and girls is rooted in peace, dignity, and justice. In times of conflict, it is often women and girls in rural areas who bear the heaviest burden: insecurity, restricted movement, disrupted livelihoods, and fear.

WomenServe exists to ensure that even in times of uncertainty, women can continue to thrive with access to resources, opportunity, and community.

Thanks to your ongoing support, we are able to remain responsive, resilient, and deeply rooted in the well-being of those we serve. If the situation changes, we are prepared to act swiftly, adapt as needed, and we will keep you informed every step of the way.

With gratitude,
Nioma
